This last November I had the awesome privilege meeting Lexi and Ricki Stafford.

My good friend and partner Bailey Schiess had contacted me to see if I'd be interested in pampering a young newly wed couple and providing the hair for their photo shoot. She then went on to explain that this young couple had endured together cancer and chemotherapy. I without hesitation excepted the invite and looked forward to meeting these two spiritual giants.

We had the whole day planned, with a photographer, make-up artist, hair artist and obviously hair ;) as I met with Lexi and Ricki to fit Lexi with her hair I was shocked to see how young this sweet couple was. They both looked to be only 20 years old! We all met together in my private fitting room and discussed how she wanted her hair. We talked about all the different hair she had over the years from extremely long to bald and then the growing out phase. I couldn't believe how sweet and grateful Lexi was! It truly was my honor to be a part of such a fun day. I then processed to ask them a little about their story. Ricki was constantly complimenting Lexi on how beautiful she was no matter what her hair looked like :) and they were, for lack of better analogies, "Head Over Hills" for each other. We laughed and had a very positive conversation together and luckily Ricki eyed the perfect hair for her! He saw a medium brown 20" halo extension; which was absolutely perfect for her! After finding the perfect hair the young couple proceeded to get ready for the photoshoot as displayed below!

If I learned one thing from this couple it would be that no matter your circumstances, not ever cancer, should hold you back from following your heart and expressing your heart to those whom you love. Thank you Lexi and Ricki for showing me again how important it is to live in the moment! I hope you enjoyed your pampering day and love your photo's, they capture your light!
